What I Learned: I learned that by passing out physical surveys it can be difficult to get all the information collected and be accurate for legit responses to improve the next concert.
What I Learned: I learned that when having an auction the traditional way of writing your name down with a higher bid is the best way to do it because the online version did not bring in many bids.
What I Learned: I learned when having an outdoor event you need to ensure the proper supplies are provided to prevent linens and table settings from blowing away.
What I Learned: I learned that an event like the Annual Fall Festival and Haunted House can really bring people together and create joy for families and friends. I felt like this event was done well and the purpose of the event was successful.
What I Learned: I learned that the theatre has an older audience and many of them just wanted water and coffee, so at times all the candy and soda could be a possible waste of money.
What I Learned: I learned that registration lists need to be triple checked before the event starts because there were many people not listed and it created awkward encounters between the guests and the people who were checking them in.
What I Learned: I learned that every event will never be perfect and many things can go wrong like toilets backing up and characters almost passing out. Characters should have more breaks and be checked on more often than they were to ensure safety.
What I Learned: I learned that you need to be particular where you place the check-in tables in relation to the door because every time the door opened the papers blew away and everyone ran to grab what fell which resulted in longer check-in times.
What I Learned: I learned that volunteers should have specfic jobs when their signed up for set-up. I arrived at the event and had nothing to do for over an hour, if there were specific tasks standing around could be prevented.
What I Learned: I learned that event preparation is extremely important, many things were done last minute and it was stressful. I think doing things more in advance would be helpful for everyone involved and lower stress levels.
